Dodge Repair: 83 ramcharger flooding??, ramcharger, reman

Question
Have an 83 ramcharger, new motor. Just about everything else has been replaced but dist and cap. I can drive it about 5 min, then it just dies and won't start. Will start later or next day. It had an after market 4bbl and intake. I went back to the original 2bbl and intake. Has a reman carb. I am a tech but haven't done much carb work. Does this sound like flooding? Do you think I got a bad carb?

Answer
hello ron
yes this is a bad carb the float is hanging up in the carb if it hangs up it will not pump causeing flooding . i would bring it back tell them you want a new on or another rebult
ans also check the fuel pump bolts to make sure they are tight and not sucking any air . good luck to u pete
