Dodge Repair: oxigen........, oxigen sensor, dodge dealer

Question
Hi, Steve. Thanks for answer my question. But, I do have one more. You said that it takes almost one hour to replace the oxigen sensor and reset the computer. Now,when the car stopped again, the dodge dealer service told me that they have to replace the pcm. From what I understand, this part is computer part. Am I rigth?  Explain please to me and also tell me how long it will take to replace this pcm. Thank you so mutch. Lucia

Answer
Lucia,

The PCM is the computor and should take about 45 min. to replace. but I must ask ... did the O2 sensor not fix the problem?  if not then the dealership should not be charging you for that.

Anyone can guess at the problem.   Your paying money to have them tell you what is wrong. if they cant do it. then take your car elsewhere.

What happens if the PCM does not fix the problem. Are they going to guess at something else?

Steve
