Dodge Repair: My Dakota is cruising rough, dodge dakota club, dakota club cab

Question
Hi Pete! Thanks for your time!
I have a '98 Dodge Dakota Club Cab Sport with a V6 "Magnum" engine with about 51,000 miles. When I accelerate around 45 mph and holding that speed I can feel the engine slightly cutting out and producing a jerking and slight hesitation when accelerating to about 60 mph where the engine finally runs smooth. I put in a bottle of Lucas Injection cleaner a couple days ago and I have not seen a lot of difference. It's almost as if there is a misfire but it only does it from 40 to 55 mph. Change Plugs and Wires? Someone said it could be the Torque Converter going out. I turned off Overdrive and it seemed to improve acceleration but the roughness is still there while maintaining speed and not accelerating. Could it be a clogged fuel filter?  I just bought it used and I did purchase an extended drive train warranty. Thank you very much for your help!  By the way, yes, it was doing this during the test drive but I loved the truck so much that I thought I'd fix it with a fuel additive. I know...I'm shaking my head, too. lol

Answer
hello rick
I bet you will think twice about falling in love again that fast lol

The best thing to do is get a diagnostic test to see what is going on u can spend a lot of money trying to find the problem and i could tell u what to buy to but i would be guessing to and i do not do that i dont think it is a tourk converter it could be a bad coil or coil pack pete
