Ford Repair: 95 Taurus tranmission, bearer of bad news, ford taurus

My '95 Ford Taurus transmission shifts very roughly and with bang, from 1st to 2nd if it's under power at the time, like accelerating from a stop. If I ease off on the gas when the shifting occurs, then you don't even notice the shift. This doesn't happen at any other time.

Unfortunately I am the bearer of bad news. Like many Taurus owners you are experiencing the transmission blues. If you have faith in yourself and your car, then proceed. My suggestion is to park it and replace the tranny. Obviously I am assuming that you have checked the mounts and fluids.
