Ford Repair: 93 Mustang 4cyl. dual plug, mustang 4cyl, noise suppressor

Hi, I have a 4cyl mustang which has a Coil over heating and shutting down. When I check it after driving a spell the coil and plug wires are too hot to touch and she starts running rough and I loose my RPM guage. Could this simply be a short inside my coil or maybe a wire/plug problem. I just replaced everything with new wires and plugs using factory motorcraft replacements on both coils.

were you having a coil problem before you replaced them or did you do this as part of a tune up-noise suppressor mounted by coil can be shorting-also look for pinched wire. otherwise you may want to take it in and have checked out because you could possibly take out a computer also.
