Ford Repair: 1997 Mercury Sable door ajar warning, mercury sable, wd40

Hi, I just purchased a 1997 Mercury Sable.  It has been fine the last couple of days.  Today the door ajar light came on and all the doors were shut.  It won't go off.  I looked for a "switch" in the door that might be stuck and causing this to occur, but I couldn't find one.  Can you tell me where I might find it and if this is indeed the problem?

Hello Heather, The door ajar switch in one of the doors is sticking. Take some wd40 or a lubricant the same as and spray into the door latches, then open and close the doors several times to coat the switch end. That should get it to unstick to get you light out. Let me know Thanks Tony
