Ford Repair: Fitting replacement Ford Explorer cruise control switch, brasilia brazil, explorer cruise

Question
Hi
My question is how do I fit the replacement cruise control switch on my 1997 Explorer XLT Manual shift. I bought the part on a recent trip to Phoenix (I live in Brasilia, Brazil) and it looks simple enough to fit the switch if I could get access to below the steering wheel plastic cover.

Answer
if it is the one on the steering wheel there should be two or four screws behind the steering wheel turn the key on and turn wheel until you can reach them-they may be torx-but first for safety reasons if you have an airbag take panel off bottom under steering wheel and find the wire with big yellow connector and disconnect it first it will disable airbag then wait 20 minutes until you start repairs.
