Ford Repair: 302 swap to 351, 1986 mercury capri, mercury capri

I have a 1986 mercury Capri RS 5.0L H.O. w/ fuel injection. The motor is gone and i have attained a 351- can I put the 351 in and put my old 5.0 intakes on it so I can use the fuel injection? What other mods would need to be done?

  You won't need to modify a whole lot, but there are some issues to address.  First of all, your 5.0L manifold will not work.  You'll have to get a 5.8L intake.  There aren't a whole lot of 5.8L EFI intakes out there (surprisingly), but I know Trick Flow makes one.  Aside from that you'll need some 351 swap motor mounts as well as swap headers.  You might take a look around some Mustang websites and read what people have posted about similar swaps in Mustangs since the Mustang shares virtually everything with early Capris.  Hope this helps.
