Ford Repair: Ford Taurus, spark plug wires, ford taurus

Question
We have a 1992 Ford Taurus. During damp weather, it wouldn't start, so we had it towed in for repair. However, they didn't find anything wrong, and when they went to start it, they had no problem. Brought the car home, it's raining again, and won't start again. Any suggestions?

Since it seems to be moisture-related, my guess would be a problem with the spark plug wires or the ignition control module.  It's definitely electrical, but without seeing the car it's hard for me to say exactly.  An easy way to test the wires is (on a dry day) start the car up and let it run for a minute.  Make sure it's dark when you do this or else it's kind of a waste of time.  Simply take a spray bottle with some water and mist around the wires.  If the wires are the problem then you should see electricty arcing between the wires and other places (either other wires or metal parts under the hood).  This is why it has to be dark...it won't be very bright and you'll miss it if it's too light.  Hope this helps.
