Ford Repair: 93 e-350 van wont start, theft deterrent system, swtich

Question
I am installing a kill switch on a 1993 e-350 van for a friend. I found a wiring schematic and decided to put the switch into the circuit that controls fuel delivery. I put the switch into the red with light green wire at the ignition switch, I have power at both sides of the switch, but the van will not start. I did check the fuel cut-off swtich and it is not tripped, and I just don't know what to do now. I am leaving the van to sit for awhile hoping that I just caused some kind of theft deterrant mode, because I did have the key in the accesory position when I cut the wire. I am not sure of anything else I can inform you of, but if you can please help me.

Answer
The red/LG wire powers the ignition system, PCM, etc. You may have to find another to use for the kill switch. I take it this is to prevent the van from starting? I don't know why this new switch would cause this particular problem. If you want to prevent starting you could wire it to the inerita switch, that will kill the fuel pump. How many amps will this new switch handle? Might be the PCM and other stuff on that circuit draw too much amperage for the switch to handle.
1993 had no theft deterrent system that I know of.
