1994 EXPLORER 4 DOOR AUTO
I CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO REPLACE THE BACK BLINKER BULBS WHICH ARE BOTH DIM, AND I'M AFFRAID I'M GOING TO GET REAR ENDED. I CHANGED THE FRONT MYSELF, AND CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A LEAD TO THE BACKS.. THANKS =]
Answer -
You have to remove the entire taillamp assemble. Open the tailgate and you will see two screws that hold the lamp assembly to the body. Take the screws out then the other end of the lamp just snaps out of retainers in the body. At this point you can twist out the connectors to access the bulb.

SORRY TO BUG YOU AGAIN, BUT THE LIGHTS ARE STILL FLASHING FAST. I LEARNED THAT HAPPENDS WHEN THE BULB IS DULLING.      ALSO.. THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY SO QUICK AND YOU DID HELP ME A LOT WITH LEARNING MY WAY AROUND MY OWN VEHICLE =]

Answer
Most times the bulb has to be burnt out for them to flash rapidly. If both sides are flashing rapidly then it might be the flasher unit. As long as it is blinking you should be able to track down the flasher by sound. The other item that might cause this is the turn signal switch.
