Ford Repair: 85 ford bronco engine, ford bronco, excessive pressure


Question
Well i have oil pooring out the the dipstick shaft. What do i have to do to stop this problem?
I can garrentee that the motor was not maintained at all befor.  It is an 85 ford bronco V8 5.8L.

  I would recommend changing out the PCV valve.  If the valve gets clogged, excessive pressure can build up in the crankcase and push oil into odd places (out the dipstick, into the intake, etc.).  If that doesn't fix it, you might think about replacing the oil pump.  There's a spring inside there that can wear out and actually make the pump work harder causing too much pressure.  Hope this helps.
