Ford Repair: 2001 Ford F150 Clutch Master Cylinder, clutch master cylinder, clutch plate

Question
I have a 2001 Ford F150 XL, Regular cab, 5-speed manual, 4.2 V6, Two wheel drive truck. I had the slave cylinder, clutch plate, pressure plate, and throwout bearing replaced about 9 months ago. About a month ago I noticed that the clutch pedal will drop to the floor and then back up several times over the period of a 5 mile trip. I hesitated to jump to the conclusion that the slave cylinder went bad again, so I was thinking maybe this time it is the clutch master cylinder and the fluid is bypassing the seals inside the cylinder. I just wanted to know what you think and if it is the master cylinder, what is the best step-by-step procedure to replace it. Thank you for your time and feel free to e-mail me when you get a chance. -Jeff-

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
It should be a pretty straight forward replacement. It does sound like the Master cylinder has gone south. As long as you have checked for leaks and haven't found any............replacement would be your next step.
As far as step by step........I haven't had to replace on ....yet.
