I have gone through 3 fuel pumps in a year.  When the car failed again I removed the fuel pump and jumped it to the battery and it works this time.  I checked for voltage first at the fuel pump, then the fuel pump relay, and the at the fuel pump inertia switch.  No voltage anywhere.  My wiring diagram shows the voltage coming from the "engine electronis control processor" pin number 57.  Could this be bad and if so where is it located?  Should you be able to read a constant 28VDC with the ignition on?
Answer -
in your vehicle...there should NEVER be 28vDC at any time....if there is you have serious charging system problems.

Sorry I am used to working on aircraft electrical systems.  I meant 12VDC.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the reply...I'll try to help.
Much better......12v only in cars.
What the diagram is talking about is the processor for the vehicle. Before you junk it......check the EEC relay to make sure that the processor is getting powered up. The relay should be right next to the fuel pump relay and colored brown.
Hope this helps,
Erik
