Ford Repair: exterior (bumper covers), model mustangs, side skirt

I want to know what front bumper replacement options are available to me regarding my '81 mustang. I have a mechanically new car with an all new drivetrain and suspension, now i want to work on the exterior of the car. I have found many side skirt kits that are available and have added a cobra wing and louvers. When looking for a different front bumper, I noticed they don't say whether they will fit. I want to get rid of the front look of the '81, I like the look of the 87-93 model mustangs. I wanted to know what modifications would be needed if I can use this replacement. (93 look for my 81) Thanks.

  To do that sort of swap, you'll need the front bumper/grille assembly and a new hood.  You *might* also need a set of newer fenders, but I'm pretty sure all of the '79-'93 cars have the same fenders.  You may also have to make some slight modifications to the mounting locations to fit the later model front end on there.  It's really not too hard...just time consuming and sometimes expensive (after getting the parts, prep work, paint, etc.).  Hope this helps.
