Ford Repair: thunderbird 3.8, thunderbird 3, salvage yard

Question
i want to swap an 84 3.8 thunderbird motor into a 95
thunderbird 3.8that has a blown motor
how involved is this?
are there differences in the block?
how about the intake to cylinder head mounting?
ehxaust manifold to cylinder head mounting?
cam-computer relationship?
would just the heads from the 84 fit the block of the 95?
and so forth.

I would suggest that you contact a junk/salvage yard. They should have "swap" information that would help you.
I've worked a long time at dealerships and we never tried to do that. It was the right part, all of the time.
