Ford Repair: rear wiper repair, screw cap, motor assembly

Question
on my 1999 explorer, the rear wiper works intermittently or not at all.  how do you remove the plastic liner to access the motor assembly, and why does the motor only start sometimes when you jiggle irt by hand?

Answer
Hello and thank you for your question......I'll try to help.
What I would suggest you do is look at the wiring going from the body of the vehicle to the lift gate. It is usually there that the wires "break" and or become stressed and open up.
As far as removing the inner panel, there should be a few screwes that will need to come out. Either they will be in plain sight or you might have to remove "pop-off" screw cap cavers to gain access to them. After that, you will need a door panel removal tool. It is designed like a two prong fork, that slides in behind the push retainers to help you pry them out.
If you need more help, let me know,
