Ford Repair: Rear Disc Brake Repair, rear caliper, disc pads

Question
I have to replace the rear disc pads on a 1997 thunderbird.  I cannot get the rear caliper to compress into the housing.  what's the trick?  thanks for your help!  in the past you helped me repair an errant IAC on this car!

Answer
Michael-

The rear calipers don't compress the same way the fronts do.  You'll have to screw them back in.  Sometimes people can pull this off with normal hand tools, but it's easier to pick up a wrench attachment for it at your local parts store.  They usually cost less than $10 and work great.  Hope this helps.
