Ford Repair: Ford Ranger fuel pump, inertia switch, plow truck

Question
I am a total novice at car repair. I have a 1989 Ford Ranger that we use as a plow truck (we live in Maine and it is snowing as I type) Anyway, I cut a hole in the bed to access the fuel pump replaced it and it doesn't seem to be getting any power. I checked all the fuses. Someone said there may be a reset button or possibly a relay switch that needs to be looked at, but I can't find anyting in my repair manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Even if you can refer me to another source. Thanks.

Answer
Mr. Bickford,

Your vehicle has an inertia switch, which is located on the tow board to the right of the transmission pump. Usually the fuel pump does not shut off except in the case of an accident but you can check it anyway. Being fuel injected, your fuel pump is probably in the gas tank and if there is no power to the wires coming out of the tank, you probably have a bad fuel pump. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will respond immediately. I apologize for the delay, hope that this helps you and good luck.
