Ford Repair: 69 mustang Brakes, wheel assemblies, rear brakes

Question
Power brakes - Front Disc, Rear Drum
Rear brakes grab and lock up - cant tell if the front are engaging

Pedal is hard and firm when the car is not running - after starting the pedal will go about halfway with minimal pressure and then the pedal gets firm resistance and that is when the rear grabs

Replaced Master cylinder and rear wheel assemblies - bleed all wheels with no change - no noticable leaks in system -

Thanks

Answer
Carl,

You still have air in your brake line. Start with the passenger rear then bleed the passenger front. Next bleed driver rear followed by driver front in that order, make sure you have someone to push on the break pedal and make sure that the reservior remains full during the bleeding process. If you did not bench bleed your master cylinder, that could also be part of your problem. While you have the hubs off, spray all components, except the pads to make sure they are freed up. Hope that this helps and good luck.
