Ford Repair: 1990 Mustang 5.0 dyno tuning-computer adj., ford motorsports, anderson ford

Question
I need to upgrade my efi computer to hi performance specs.  Looking for a race shop in the Bay Area.  New GT-40 engine, 30 psi injectors, 9 psi charger, headers, msd btm, edlebrock intake, 373 gears, all the goods.  Car runs hot and has minimum torque.

While I don't know of any particular shops in the San Fran area (I assume that's what you mean by "bay area"), I wouldn't recommend a chip anyway.  I'd recommend something that can be continuously adjusted to suit your current and future mods.  The most basic of these are hand-held pieces from Diablosport and Superchips.  They're basically just plug and play hand-helds that allow tuning of fuel, timing, etc.  Another, slightly more involved and expensive piece is the Anderson Ford Motorsports PMS (before you get any ideas, it stands for programmable management system) that has a processor that actually intercepts signals from the computer and modifys them.  This has been a workhorse on the street/strip scene for quite a while.  It's a little more expensive, but it's far more powerful.  Western Motorsports (of the Great White North) offer a similar system called the SDS injection systems.  Both are tuneable via hand-held controllers but maintain their own processors.  That's about the best you can do without stepping up to a stand-alone system like F.A.S.T, Accel, AEM, and the like while all cost in the $1500 range and require laptops to make programming changes.  Hope this helps.
