Ford Repair: Mustang springs, mustang springs, suspension geometry

Question
Hi Steve:
I have a 2003 Mustang (not a GT) and I would like to lower the front about 1.5 to 2 inches.
What I have to do? What web page do you recommend me to buy the parts?
Any information is welcome.

Thanks,

John

Answer
John-

I'd stick with around 1 1/2"...anything more than that and you risk messing with the suspension geometry.  All you'll really need is the springs themselves and some spring isolaters (basically just little rubber or urethane collars that slip over either end to prevent metal-to-metal contact).  For the newer Mustangs I'd say the best place to go would be Steeda (www.Steeda.com).  They've been in the Mustang game for a really long time and produce some top quality stuff.  Hope this helps.
