Ford Repair: fuel supply, john carpenter, fuel pumps

Question
I have 1990, six cylinder,EFT F-250.
Problem is that when I turn the key on it takes several minutes for the fuel pump to build up enough pressure to crank. I turn on the key and when the fuel pump stops, the truck will then run perfectly. I have changed both fuel pumps and the pressure vale on on the rail going to the injectors and I still have the problem. I am at my wits end on what to do. If you can help I would surely appreciate it. Thanks, John Carpenter

Answer
Hey Mr. John Carpenter, i may not have ever had my hands on an F series truck but I sure pinpointed the problem on yours.  No need to say im "Not to familiar" cause although I dont like driving around in the slow heavy gas guzzeling slugs it doesnt mean that i dont know whats wrong with the engines.  You own one and i bet i know a lot more about your truck than you do, and im just sitting on a computer.
