Ford Repair: rear disc brakes, rear disc brakes, taurus wagon

Question
1996 taurus wagon
After screwing down piston till it bottoms out, how do you close piston completly?
thanks

Answer
Hi Don,
If the pistons are all the way screwed down, that's it. They are in all the way. The caliper should fit over your new pads easily. If they don't, then the calipers may be bad and need to be replaced.
When screwing the pistons in, make sure that you are pushing the piston in at the same time. Special tools are made to do this. Your local parts store should have one.
