Honda Repair: thottle cut out, fuel pressure gauge, throttle position sensor

Question
hi,
i have a 1993 honda civic hatchback with a 1996 honda predlude si motor in it. i recently replaced the clutch and it works fine. but today i noticed that when i give it full thottle in any gear, it bogs down. its not the rpms because when i barely stay under full throttle it can go all the way up to the redline. even when i start out slow then pin the throttle it cuts out like i have let off the throttle completely, and it doesnt cut out at a certain rpm. i dont know what it could be, can i have some insight?

thanks, beau

Answer
There are many things that can cause this type of problem. I would start by checking fuel pressure. You can get a fuel pressure gauge at most any auto parts store.
This could be a problem with the fuel pump, pressure regulator, throttle position sensor, etc.
