Honda Repair: 1992 Honda Accord EX, torx screws, honda accord ex

Question
Hello John!
Quick question my 1992 is a 5 speed (manual transmission). I recently found that my horn does not work, Where is it located? and what should be done to troubleshoot it. My friend is a mechanic and can help me out,but he needs some direction.
Thank You!

Answer
well, i'll assume he knows the basics and keep it simple then.

honda horns always have power. the ground from the horn goes to the steering wheel and there are metal tabs behind the wheel that ground on the column.
if you dont have a bag, then it is just a 19mm to get the wheel off. if you do have a bag then there are 2 torx screws on each side of the column behind the wheel. disconnect the battery before messing with the bag.
i would say that the steering is more likely. without a bag that tab can get messed up, with a bag the clockspring can go out. (clockspring is the black circle screwed onto the column right behind the wheel.)
start at the easy stuff though.

so:
-check power supply at horn
-get to a horn and add a wire to the ground and ground it to the battery to make sure the horn works
-if that works then pull the wheel apart.

oh, i missed the location.
there are 2 horns. for 2 different tones.
1 in each corner of the bumper under the headlight. or perhaps more in to the center. you might be able to see them by looking in the bumper from the grill area.
that is also why i say the steering wheel things are more probable. both horns going out at the same time is not likely.
