QuestionI am looking into purchasing a 1987 Honda Accord that does not run. He said it just died on him one day, as if it ran out of gas. He said it still turns over. So, my question is, what might be wrong, and what could I do, myself, if anything, to get it running, or to determain the problem?
AnswerCould be a fuel pump, ignition problem, broken timing belt or even a blown engine. If I was to buy one myself that way, I wouldn't pay anymore than a couple hundred bucks for one that doesn't run. One that old tends to be a bad money pit unless you have someone that can help you work on it.
