Honda Repair: timing belt, timing belt, hondas

Question
I am having timing belt replaced on my 95 civic, should I replace the tensioner also?

Answer
Sid,

I usually do not replace the tensioner. Matter of fact, I have only replaced a few in my 13 years of working on HOndas. I know a lot of people try to upsell it, but I have seen only a few fail in my time.
You did not mention how many miles the car has. If over 150k miles, it may not be a bad idea. If you have the $$, then why not? Otherwise it will probally be ok.
Thanks
