Hyundai Repair: fault codes, hyundai santa fe, intake air temperature sensor

i have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe . on vehicle inspection they got a code P0444 and a P0112. any suggestions on what to change to get it to pass?? thanks

Hi, Gregg.  P0444 indicates an open circuit in the purge control valve circuit and P0112 indicates an open in the intake air temperature sensor circuit.  Since both these items are near each other, I'd recommend taking a look around (rear of intake manifold on passenger side) to see if the wiring is damaged, the items are unplugged, or the connectors have been switched.  

The intake air temperature sensor which screws into the back of the manifold should be connected to a colored (I believe light blue) connector with one blue and one brown wire.  The purge control valve should be connected to a black connector with one blue and one yellow wire.
