Answer
Hi, Sherry.  For the sake of putting everything in one place, I'm going to incorporate your note that this is a V6 into this question.

The following are the things I can think of that would cause this car to not start after replacing the crank sensor:

1.  Crank sensor not fully installed into block.  Did the o-ring come out with the old sensor?  If not, it may still be in the block preventing you from fully installing the new sensor.  Did the old sensor come out in one piece?  If not, this may be phyiscally preventing the new sensor from being fully inserted.  Did the sensor seem to easily fully insert into the hole and bolt down tightly?

2.  Fuse for crank sensor is blown.  The most common failure mode for the sensor is for the wiring to short together.  I haven't seen it, but one of the potential failures could be that the EGR fuse is now blown because of the wiring shorting together.

3.  Sensor not fully plugged in.  Sometimes the connector is hard to install.  Verify the connector is completely latched together.  Disconnect and reconnect if necessary to verify this.
