my car does not drive more than 20mph and does not shift to reverse. what can be the problem? its 2001 hyundai accent

Hi, Kristy.  Presuming there's one problem causing all the symptoms, it sounds like you have a problem with your transmission (or clutch).  The answers to the following will help me determine if this is indeed the case and guide you in how to proceed.

1.  Is your Accent equipped with a manual or automatic transmission?
2.  Are you having a problem moving the shifter to reverse or with the vehicle moving once shifted to reverse?
3.  Will the shifter move to gear positions other than reverse?  
4.  When the vehicle will not go faster than 20MPH, does it act like it is in neutral?
