Hyundai Repair: Fuel Pump Relay, hyundai scoupe, fuel pump relay

Question
I pulled the diagnostic codes on my 93 Hyundai Scoupe Turbo like you advised and found a faulty Fuel Pump Relay and bad injector #1. I am trying to replace the relay but cant find an eight prong module under the steering column. Is is behind the dash gagues? Do you think the relay will solve the injector problem?

Thanks again for your time,
Thomas

Answer
The fuel pump/ecu control relay is located behind the left side of the dash.  If none of the injectors are firing, then the relay could cause that issue.  If just one is not firing, then you have an additional issue.

Keep in mind that a code 41 can indicate a failure anywhere in the injector #1 circuit, not necessarily with the injector itself.  One way to determine whether the problem is with the injector itself is to swap the injector with that of another cylinder and clear the code.  If code 41 returns, then you know the problem is in the wiring (or the ECM).  If, however, you now return a code indicating an injector problem on the cylinder to which you've moved the injector, you know the problem is with the injector itself.
