QuestionI am having trouble with starting my car. I jump started my car but its not turning on. I hear my starter jumping out and turning the engine but its not starting still. Do you know what is going on with this?
AnswerThis could be any number of issues-- defective fuel pump, broken/stripped timing belt, issue with fuel injection control system.
I usually tell people to start with trying to determine the nature of the problem first-- i.e. fuel, spark, mechanical.
Does the check engine lamp illuminate when the ignition key is turned to the on position? If not, expect that your engine control module (ECM) is not turning on.
Are you receiving spark at the spark plugs?
Is your timing belt broken or stripped?
Are you receiving fuel at the injector rail?
