Hyundai Repair: rotor removal 2001 kia sportage2wd, hex nuts, hex nut

Question
what is the best way to remove a rotor (right side front) when there has been a lot of damage done to the current motor.  I'm having problems with the hex nut on the rotor.

Answer
It's been a while since I've worked on one of these, but I don't recall any hex nuts on the rotor.

Once you've removed the caliper, you'll need to remove the two screws (#3 Phillips, I believe) that hold the rotor to the hub.  You may need a special tool called an impact driver to remove these screws (if present).  It's a spring-loaded handle with screwdriver bits that go into the end.  Place the tool (with appropriate bit) into the screw and then strike it with a hammer.  This will push it into the screw and turn at the same time.  Once these screws are removed, the rotor should slide off.
