Hyundai Repair: 2003 Tirburon SE Window cable replacement, spring tension, cable replacement

I had to disconnect the motor regulator to allow closing the window. In the process I disconnected the cables to the regulator. I have replaced the brushes in the motor but can not figure how to rethread the cables.

You'll probably need a new regulator.  I inadvertently pulled one of these regulators apart and tried to respool the cable, but the spring tension was too tight and I couldn't do it.  I eventually just replaced the regulator.

If you can get the cable to wind onto the spool properly and get the spool back in place, that should be okay, but I doubt you'll be able to do this.
