Hyundai Repair: noise, tinny sound, local shop

Question
hi, i had my timing belt, etc done in dec, 06. in jan i hit a curb, no damage at all, up and then down. about two weeks later i started hearing a tinny sound on the right side. not sure what that is.  the car runs great, and the noise comes every once and a while. my son in law drove the car and he thought brakes or steering/checked fluids they are fine. i also had two back tires put on in dec, 06.  if they are the brakes how can i tell? it does it when i stop then go to start again, but not always, like 2 times a day, once a week if that.

Answer
It's possible something under the car was bent a little bit in the collision and makes some sort of abnormal contact when you start off.  If it only does it right when you start from a stop, it's not very likely it's the brakes.

Unfortunately, it's difficult for me to tell what the noise is with only a written description.  Hearing a noise is often the largest assistance in diagnosis.  I'd recommend taking your car to a local shop and having it checked.  Tell them to check for damage and to also check the noise.  At the very least, you should probably have an alignment done.
