Hyundai Repair: 2002 Hyyundai Elantra GT, upper radiator hose, elantra gt

The temp goes to hot and the antifreeze overflow bottle is empty, no heat. Does this mean that the water pump is bad? also you see little spots were antifreeze leaked. 1st time this has happened. I filled the radiator and the heat started working again.

It *does* sound like you have a coolant leak somewhere.  The water pump is one possibility.  To be sure, the vehicle should be visually inspected to determine where the coolant is leaking out.  On your vehicle, one place that leaks commonly occur is where the upper radiator hose attaches to the thermostat housing.
