Hyundai Repair: Cold Start, coolant temperature sensor, hyundai scoupe

Question
I have a 94 Hyundai scoupe (regular 1.5 ltr non-turbo)and the trouble that I have is when it get's around 30's tempeture the engine will turn but would not start up BUT when it gets a little warmer and I try to start it IT WILL START right up.  I've changed my spark plugs and wire's and cap and rotor, but it still does the same thing and only when its pretty cold.  Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Sincerely Ken

Answer
Since this is temperature related, I'd suspect the coolant temperature sensor.  Depending on outside conditions, if the reading is off far enough, the mixture will be too rich or too lean for the vehicle to start.

But I also don't think that jumping in and replacing the coolant temperature sensor is the place to start here.  Ideally, I'd have you hook up a scan tool to read the coolant temperature value from the ECM to see if it's reasonably accurate.  Since I assume you don't have the capability of doing that, you should try to establish first that the issue isn't a lack of spark or fuel pressure.
