Isuzu Repair: 2001 Isuzu Trooper LS - oil consumption, intake manifold gasket, vacuum hoses

Question
I've reviewed multiple Q's & A's about 2001 Troopers consuming oil.  I've got more than 136K miles on mine and have been burning through 1qt every 400-500 miles for as long as I can remember.  Several of your responses about this problem indicate Isuzu is well-aware and that law suits have been filed.  Are you aware of a class action law suit?  An course of action you can recommend I pursue to protect my interests?  Thank you.

Answer
All I can say is get in line Sue. The real funny part about all of this is that Isuzu is no longer a company in the United States!!! They were aware of this oil consumption problem and also the ABS problem, intake manifold gasket problems, anti-theft problems, fuel level sending unit problems, on and on and on. The only solution I have found is do a heavy decarbonization process on your engine Sue. pour in a can of seafoam in your oil filler tube and run for about 20 minutes. Make sure not to overfill your oil pan though. After this take a nother can of seafoam and slowly dip one of the intake vacuum hoses into the can and let the vacuum suck it all slowly up. Have an assistant press on the gas pedal as the seafoam  will try to kill the engine(NORMAL DONT WORRY). After this drain your oil thoroughly, while waiting replace your fuel filter(recommended not required) and remove your EGR valve and clean it out with a soft wire brush(DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER ON THIS). tighten oil-pan drain plug to OEM spec's and pour in a quart of Lucas Heavy Duty oil stabilizer and fill the oil pan to specs with 10w-40 mystic oil or Rotella 15-40. The results should be tremendous and take it out and give it a good run on the highway. You will blow out so much crap and carbon you should see a significant DECREASE in oil consumption as well as improved mileage Sue:). If you have any questions let me know okay?
