Isuzu Repair: engine rpm, isuzu pickup, throttle positioning sensor

Question
I have a 1990 isuzu pickup 2.3L rwd. Coming home the other day,the engine started racing. I've checked the throttle spring, and the fuel pedal and that all seems to be woking fine.  Thanks for your help.  vince

Answer
WEll Vince, your throttle positioning sensor could be at fault, or your fuel pump could be at fault. Isuzu's have had problems with their throttle sensor in the past and their throttle body. Check your fuel lines for any pinched areas or leaks. Fuel filter and fuel pump,  make sure it's working at peak level. If this doesn't work please let me know.
