Jaguar Repair: 84 Jaguar XJ6 white smoke from hood, jaguar xj6, temp gauge

I recently purchased a 84 Jaguar XJ6. It runs smooth and has recently been serviced, but after driving for a short distance white smoke from under the hood and the temp gauge reaches 90 or above. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

90 deg C. is normal operating temperature but white smoke from under the hood is not normal but that don't tell what is wrong so you need to have a Jaguar mechanic look at where the white smoke is coming from. You need to do that right away because it may or may not be something serious.
