Jaguar Repair: dash guages, oil pressure gauge, dash guages

my dash guages quite working with the exception of the tach.
1985 xjs.. have checked a  plug terminals

Hi Bill,
All of the instruments are powered by one wire (green) from the #4 fuse in the main fuse panel. All instruments are grounded by a single black wire from the plug connector.

The fuel gauge is operated by a light green w/orange wire in the plug connector.
The Temp gauge is operated by a green w/blue wire in the plug.
The Oil pressure gauge is operated by a white w/brown wire in the plug connector.
The Volt meter is operated by the green power wire and the black ground wire.
The Speedo is operated by a pulse from the pulse generator by a Yellow wire in the plug connector.

If the power wire and the ground wire are doing what they should then your problem is either in the plug connector or internal.
