Jaguar Repair: remove/replace engine, jags, xjs

Question
This is a followup to a previously answered question. I asked about removing and replacing an engine on a 1985 xj6 in response to a question concerning gas in the oil of an xjs. I am asking this new question because I want to buy 2 jags, one with a good motor and one with a solid body.  Is it very expensive/involved to remove and repalce an engine on a 1985 xj6?

Answer
Bill, the only expense would be if you have a shop do the change and that depends on the shop. A Jag dealer at $150.00 + per hour would probably cost more than the car is worth.
If you are going to do it yourself the only cost would be if something is broken or bad and needs replacing anyway, there are no parts necessary to just R&R an engine. Just your labor. However you should purchase a shop manual as it is a little more work than most cars but not that much.
