Jeep Repair: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee AC Problem, jeep grand cherokee, dash vents

QUESTION: I have an 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  When you turn on the air conditioning air does not blow out any of the vents except a small amount of air (cold) will blow out the defroster vents bye the windshield.  If you turn the dial to reposition the vents weather it be the floor vents or the dash vents air still will not came out any vent.  You can hear the blow blowing but it just will not come out the vents.  When I say air will not come out any vent I literally mean no air, not hot, not cold nothing at all.  Its as if the vents arent open or are blocked.  I am 7 months pregnant and need to know if this will be a repair that I can do myself or if I should suck it up due to the complexity of the situation and just take it into a mechanic.

ANSWER: do u have auto temp control or manual ac control?

open the hood driver side near the brake master cyl the intake which is metal and stick out 12 inches or so U will find a vac hose that has come off between some metal lines U can stick it back on and if it does not fit tight cut some off to make it fit tight.
