Jeep Repair: Jeep drain plug clog; Repaired. Now what?, drain tube, weep hole

Question
QUESTION: Kevin - First, I just wanted to say thanks for you guys giving us this online help.  Sure does help.

Anyway, I had a similar problem with my ac drain plug being clogged.  I repaired it as noted in the bulletin below.  Now I have a leak coming from between the back of the evaporator housing and the foot well.  Is there some way I can caulk or epoxy around the evaporator housing to seal it? Is there some other issue I'm not thinking of?
Thanks,
Bill

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves drilling a hole in the A/C evaporator housing to allow for cleaning of the drain tube.

Pull the carpet down in the passengers foot well and locate the evaporator drain in the housing ( See Illustration).
Drill a 1/4 inch hole in the center of the drain tube housing as shown. Clear the drain tube with a wire or suitable tool by inserting it through the hole and into the drain tube.
Insert plug, P/N5255217 into the 1/4 inch hole drilled previously.
Verify that the drain is clear by operating the system in the A/C mode and observing that water is draining.

ANSWER: did u drill in the wrong place  and go through both sides???
Did u drill on the lower part of the housing and not in the middle?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I did not drill in the wrong place or through both sides. Also, I did drill in the center as the bulletin described.

I do have drainage through the weep hole (tube) but it also leaks behind the housing onto the foot well floor and then flows down into the lower section pooling in the floorboard.

I just wanted to know if I could caulk around the housing to stop the leaking.

Answer
well see that th thing  the tube that u driled through is solid plastic and goes right outside there would not be a way for water to drain on the other side unless the housing is cracked or the hole was drilled on both sides see what i mean?
The only true way of fixing this would be to remove the dash and remove the box add see whats wrong either its broken/cracked or there is another hole on the other side and u can plug it then. IF u seal up around where u think its coming from unless u can get all the way around which u cant it will just pool up and flow over but u can give it a shot.
