Jeep Repair: 2000 Jeep Cherokee hood release, wheel bearing grease, jeep cherokee

Question
I pulled the hood release out of the dash . How do i get to the 2 front corners of the hood with the hood closed to reach the hood releases  ?

Answer
You'll have to have a helper lightly bop the hood in the corners while you pull on the handle.  The cherokees have two points where the hood is held in place.  Some wheel bearing grease in these areas may help prevent the problem from happening in the future.
