I like to know how to check transmission oil an 2000 Land Rover Discovery 2,the reason I like to do it is because the board has two lights AM and S on,could be a sensor or a flues or something ,thank you very much.

The light is not likely to be on for fluid level.

To check fluid you need the car running on a drive on lift.  There is a fill and check plug on the side of the transmission,.  You set the fluid level with the bottom of that plug and it's right.  There is no dipstick.   It's all done under the car.
