Land Rover Repair: Engine Trouble - Series 2 Landrover?, losing coolant, combustion gases

Question
Hi I have a landrover series 2 v8 4litre 2001 model 90,000km in good condition.
During a routine service and check into a sloshing noise when driving I was advised a "Tee-Kay" test failed indicating by-passing of compression into a cooling system and advised that requires the removal of the cylinder head for further investigation - this would require a new cylinder gasket and investigation would determine if the liners were worn and if liners had dropped a new engine would be required. Due to large costs involved I took my car to another service dealership for a second opinion - they determined the car engine was fine after compression tests on the engine were carried out - only replacing of 2 spark plugs (burnt out but still working for now) is required. Results in compression test of cylinders 1-8 showed 150, 130, 120, 140, 130, 140, 130 & 150.
Not sure what this all means - who is correct or are separate issues at stake?. What are my options?

Answer
Time will reveal which answer is correct.  If indeed you are getting combustion gases in the coolant, then the vehicle will begin losing coolant and overheating.  If that happens the first opinion will be proven correct.  Keep your fingers crossed and hope that does not happen.
