Land Rover Repair: I have a stubborn mis fire problem, 2004 freelander, fire problem

Hi I have a 2004 Freelander and been getting a mis fire at cylinder 5 and 6 code.  This problem only happens after I leave the truck running for a min or two.  Once I turn the engine off the check engine light disappears and the engine seems to run fine.  Then after one or two min the problem comes back. The check engine light is on and the engine sounds a little sluggish.  I have checked the compression and changed the spark plugs, but the problem still persists.  Please help. -John

I think the next step is to swap the coil packs.  What I would do is swap coils 5 and 6 for 1 and 2 and see if the miss follows the coils.  If so, fit new coils.  If not, you have to keep looking.  You could also look at the live data stream and see with the fuel injector signals look like.
