hi there do you know if the freelander as fail safe mode when remote fob  not working to allow car to be driven

Hi Steve,

I'm not a Freelander owner but I would think that using the key in the door is just the same as when you use the fob to activate the security system.  If your fob is not working and you can still unlock and start the vehicle, I would suspect its either the fob that is malfunctioning (battery or fob damaged) or you have a problem within the security system itself.

Can you superlock you Freelander by using only the key?  Insert key in door and turn key twice within 1 a second will superlock the vehicle.
